So I'm filling out my FAU secondary in which I need to describe a community service experience and the prompt specifically states that it must be unrelated to science or patient care. The issue is that since beginning college, I've only had science/patient related volunteer experiences (all in hospitals). The least "related" of those that I can think of are volunteering in Light the Night and Relay for Life walks through my school's pre-med program. Think I can use these? If not, I'm going to have to revert to describing cleaning up local parks back in high school... thoughts?

My biggest non-medically related volunteer service is being on the planning committee for my school's Relay For Life for the past three years. As long as you can describe what you did and what you gained from the experiences, you should be fine.
