Hi,

Does anyone know whether you qualify for instate tuition/fees at California state schools like UCSD, UCLA, UCSF after one year if you originally got in as non-resident?

You have to show intent to remain a resident of California in order to be able to pay resident tuition fees. This can include switching your voter registration, having an active bank account in California, demonstrating presence in California for at least a calendar year, a CA Driver's License, things to that extent. If you can't show that you intend to remain a permanent resident of California, then you'll have to pay the out-of-state fees.

Or, so says the UC website.
