I graduated 5 years ago with a degree in economics. My professor was a crazy, cutting-edge, experimental economist, and i worked for him running a variety of social/economic experiments.

I am not sure whether this is considered "research" in the eyes of AADSAS? Can anybody out there if this is or is not research? Thanks in advance...

I did research for a TV show one summer and put that under the research section.

I was a psychology major and was a research assistant for two professors and was told that I should make sure I put that on the application...I am sure dental research looks great but research experience in any area, I think, would be a plus...

I have no research experience but that didn't stop me from getting into dental school. If you have such experience write it down. Don't worry if it isn't science related. They want to see what you've done regardless of whether it is science related or not.

thanks everyone for your advice...i will put it down on my app but if i have to explain what I did during my interview i fear that i will put the whole room to sleep!

blankguy - its good to know someone else made it to dschool w/o research exp!

I think a lot of people going into dental school don't have any research experience. SDN tends to have the very overachieving segment of the applicant pool.
