No Research yet

MCAT was lower than my AAMC practice average. I'm already following SN2ed's schedule for the retake and updating my application in Feb. I have not been verified by AMCAS or AACOMAS yet.

Can I make Lower-Tier MD or DO this cycle?
I can't stay out of graduate school another year, that is not an option for me due to my current situation.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

According to the AMCAS gpa/mcat grid, your chances are ~33% for MD schools. Factor in the fact that you are applying late and that number goes down a bit. For DO, I think your chances are better, but I would try to figure out a way to apply early next year instead, if I were you. Good luck!

Thanks guys, just wondering... is that a 33% chance per school or a 33% chance matriculating at all? I plan to apply broadly.
