Hi all,

I am a BS Pharmacist working with walgreens for the last 5 yrs. I am thinking of doing a non traditional pharm d program either from the univ of colorado or university of florida. I am interested to go into the hospital setting. Can i do the program from univ of colorado in 2 yrs as they have stated while working?

I found the univ of florida program more interesting as it has also some live classes but it takes 3 yrs. Any advise from who has considered both of these? I am thinking of 2 years residency after that. If i go with Univ of colorado, I should come out of residency in 4 years but if I go with U of F, I come out after 5 years.

Thanks!

You are wasting your time and money. For what its worth, my advice is that your resources and time are better spent starting a business. You've already got the RPH. The PharmD won't bring you any more income.

After working 5 years in retail with Walgreens, I feel like a robot. Any hospital job I apply for asks for a Pharm D🙁 Thats why I want to take the pain of doing PharmD. Also I haven't found any residencies which accept BS Pharmacy.

I have a deadline of July 15. Looking for some advise😕

One more thing I have noticed is the University of Colorado at Denver also includes rotations with it's course but looks like the University of Florida doesn't.

Wonder if I can hear from anyone who did the program. Thanks!
