I've been reading alot about Stafford loans, and I'm seeing that it may be better to get a stafford loan through a third party rather than from your dental school. For example, at elresources.org, they offer up to 2% interest rate reduction if you pay on time and allow automatic disbursements from a checking account. Also, they offer a 1.5% rebate on loans, cutting the 3% origination fee the goverment charges in half. What I;ve been wanting to know is if the schools offer incentive programs like this, especially Nova, since Im going there.

This is a little off subject, but I was wondering how your finaid stuff through NOVA has been going. I checked my status on their web thing last week and I had been granted 27,500 from Stafford loans, but I though dental students were eligable for more $. When I called finaid department they said that I had not been offically admitted to a degree program and to contact the admissions office. Have you had a similar problem? Im just trying to figure out what is going on.

Thanks
