I know that it's recommended to have 1 nonscience (pref. humanities) LOR. Is a letter from a math professor okay? I know that it's "nonscience" but it's obviously not in the humanities field.

lol @ "more human" haha yea i think i am going to visit my old english/art/history professors soon... i was just wondering if math would be okay since i KNOW that my freshmen professors would write me a very generic letter since i had them so long ago.
varies per school, but there were schools that asked specifically for a "non-BCPM letter" or a letter specifically from the humanities or social science department.

Then rekindle the relationship and do some work with them. Good LORs aren't a matter of you knocking on the door and asking for a "strong letter." Good letters come out of years (or, at minimum, many months) of hard work. The students who get shining letters didn't knock on that prof's door 6 weeks before they wanted a letter written. They have been working with a group of faculty members for many months and shown sincere interest. That needs to be you if you want the best possible results.
haha yes i am very aware of that good letters require good relationships. I have solid sciences, research, and EC letters but I am only missing a humanities/nonscience letter.
