Hey everyone, I just received good news from Northeastern University..but I wanted to know more about their post-bac program. Does anyone know how helpful it is, how large the class sizes are..etc...etc... Thank you!

Hey everyone! As we are all on the same side, I wanted some suggestions on what I should do...I have gotten into University of Maryland and Northeastern University so far, but I do not know what to do....Is there any way I can take some science courses at other Universities to raise my GPA and have it be acceptable for MED school..or should I go for a post-bac program????

Any advice will be greatly appreciated 🙂

I don't know anything about the post bac program at NU, but I got my undergrad there in finance and really liked it. They have made huge strides in improving almost every aspect of the school over the past 10 years or so and have become much more competetive with the other schools in the area. I think the faculty is great (many of the business profs were from Harvard and other well known schools) so it's probably the same in the sciences.

Not knowing much about your record I would say that if you have a year or more of requirements left to take, go for the post bac. The extra academic support, not to mention having the school counselors/advisors available to help you organize your applications, MCAT's, etc, will be worth the extra time/money. If you do it on your own you are alone for this part as well. If you already have some of the requirements then talk to them before you accept, some programs will let you start a bit ahead of the other students and take some more advanced sciences.

Best of luck, I'll be applying to the NU post bac for next year so if you decide to go there please give me some info!
