I was wondering if anyone could tell me how Northeastern compares? You know, the usuals: how competitive are admissions, the price, the general ambiance, etc.? I noticed that they don't require PCATS and I'm still not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing! But I love Boston, so if it's a decent place (and I have a decent chance of getting in) I would like to apply.

Does anyone have any info about the Pennsylvania College of Pharmacy as well?

Any help that anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated!

Northeastern is great - if you wish to visit there is a special tour and information session offered several times a month by its Bouve College of Health Sciences for prospective students wishing to major in pharmacy, nursing, PT, SP, athletic training, etc.

Freshmen automatically get their courses assigned so there is no stress trying to get all your required courses scheduled. From the second year onwards, the Bouve advisors help you plan your schedule and it hasn't been a problem to get the classes you want.

The coop program gets you lots of experience and Northeastern offers a generous merit aid program to the top 20% or so of its applicants.

One of the most important things about the pharmacy program is that NU has a very high percentage of its graduates who pass the NAPLEX on the first try.

Good luck with your applications!
