Northwestern accepting Aug MCATers?

Someone told me today that Northwestern doesn't accept August MCATers. Can anyone substantiate this exageration? Or was this all just a dream, a nightmare? No, someone really did tell me this. Actually they clarified and said that they don't interview hardly any August MCATers.

It would explain a lot of things. I've been seeing the same unchanged status page daily for more than 2 months.

I called them today and they said they're winding down their interviews. They wouldn't tell me anything about if my app has been reviewed or if it will. It's the old "black box" application process. I really enjoy hurling my work into the Great Abyss and waiting for an echo.

They make their second (and last) round of decisions in mid/late Feb.

Winding down? Not good.

I really want a Loyola interview too. I've got somewhat of an "in" there, but I'm out of state on the other hand. Much more promising than NW, it seems.

Stop spreading rumors....I was an August MCATer....However, I did get my interview invite over the xmas break last year. So if you dont hear from the school in the next month it is looking a little bleak after that.

Unless the person that told you this was Dean Brown herself I would not put any stock in it. We interview quite a few August MCATers.

August Mcater here, I have interviewed at NYU already and will be at NU next month.

Come on, I wouldn't believe anything about August MCAT-ers not being considered at all or at serious disadvantage. However It's true that August MCAT-ers are at slight disadvantage schools that start rolling admission early in the application cycle.

Sweet, I just got an interview invite today. The person who got me all worried was indeed wrong. Hope the rest of you Aug MCATers got one too!
