I emailed the NW admissions office asking whether we could send in their secondary without the invitation. Here's what they said:

"Students are to wait for the invitation to submit the supplemental application, which is mailed from our office once we have verified your candidacy. You should not submit the supplemental until you have received the invitation letter from our office."

So I guess hold on to your secondaries until you get the snail mail invitation!

thanks for the post. so what does it mean, if anything, that many of us can log in and work on our apps, even though we haven't received letters yet?

FYI they are not screening this year. All applicants will eventually get the invitation for secondary and to send in printed AMCAS when they receive your contact info. Do not fret. Good luck.
