Ok nevermind,
I just typed in my aamc # and name and got it from their web site. Thanks anyway.

can anyone give me a general timeline with regards to NU's interview process. ie how soon after mailing in the secondaries will they start to interview? How soon after interview do notifications go out? etc. thanks again

BTW im an august mcater...so im a tad late with things...

Also, on a side note... when will august mcaters hear from NYU?
Any info would be great, thanks.

I mailed mine in at the end of August... but I still haven't heard anything back from NU... 🙁

But... some people who submitted their secondaries in mid-september heard back pretty recently...

So either way, it's a friggin long process! 😡

i was an aug mcater last year and i didn't get an invite to interview til dec 26th. i interviewed mid february. i was accepted on the march accept date.

I guess that's a good present for Boxing Day (It's only celebrated in British-influenced countries like Canada, and it's the day after X'mas day, Dec. 26.)

Same general timeline here. I think I interviewed in January though.

Mind if I ask you guys/gals a "what are my chances question?" I'm sure you've heard this bunch of times...But one more won't hurt right...

Ok here's the stats.

Cornell
CGPA: 3.96
BCPM: 3.95
AO: 4

VR: 10
PS: 11
BS: 13

No research at all...But I am a Current team captain of the Cornell ping pong team..

Lots of clinical stuff with lots of patient contact, etc, etc.

The reason I'm so ga ga over NU is because it is my absolute number one choice. I love Chicago, and I love NU. My dad completed his residency there and I can still barely remember how great living in Chicago was. I would drop Harvard to go there...not that I have a shot or anything...

Please discuss...thanks...

Also, would you mind if I got a peek at your stats... Just so I can confirm the fact that I have no shot at NU...

YES

Well to indirectly answer the question...will your numbers keep you out from Northwestern? No

Will you get into Northwestern? That's something that only admission comittee know. The crapshoot theory of medical school admission states that even the best candidate can be rejected b/c of some bizarre reason.

My advice: Focus on writing good personal statements and secondary essays
