Hey,
I'm not a re-app, because I never actually applied (well, not through AACOMAS). But I do have this year off to deal with. It's too late to apply to any grad programs, and I'm not sure what to do this year.

I suppose I could research and continue doing my usual work/med volunteer/non-med volunteering/etc.

Going back to undergrad is a slim possibility for me. As I already have 2 degrees (Bio and Psyc) and don't really think a third or fourth will help that much (plus I don't feel like being called Van Wilder or something like that...).

I can already apply to DO now, and of course to Pods as well. It's a weird situation to be in, because interviews (if granted) are done so by October(ish). Not really much to say I'm doing besides what I'm already doing (could add research...).

Besides that not sure what I should be doing.

Any suggestions?

If it wasn't for my low score in PS, I wouldn't even be worrying about this and would be set for DO. My score is basically the average, but with no thanks to PS. 😳 🙂

PS
Don't worry about what I was doing that I didn't apply to some places. It brings no value to my question. Thanks.

First figure out where you're applying...what's your top choice...where would you like to study...what are you looking for in a school...BE SPECIFIC!

Based on that...find out where are the weaknesses in your application (e.g. not enough research, low MCAT, etc.).

Correct 'em.

Get involved with your communtiy.

Finally, save up some money for applications and interviews for next year.

P.S. Why didn't you apply...what were you doing? 🙄

Just apply and see what happens.

I personally would take the time to work an easy job where I had oppertunity to make enough money to live at home, study to increase the PS and apply! 🙂 I would also continue with my volunteer work both medical and non-medical. Sort of like a personal statement, spend this year supporting the idea that you want to go to medical school. But that's just my $0.02
