Well i had transferred schools last year. I had a 3.3 in my old school. Transferred to the new school an got very sick the 1st semester. Ended up with a 1.66. Came back an im graduating with a 2.7 overall this semester. Im going to apply to dental school, an im appying for postbac programs. By doing the postbac will this increase my chances of getting in the second go around? Iv heard that if you do well you will get into atleast one school second go around.

ok
from what I know, if you really were sick (such as severe bronchitis or something that puts you in the hospital) you can go to your dean and say please erase it. simple, but you I didn't your situation exactly, did you graduate? 1.66 means D+s, which isn't passing.
Good luck

I had a semester where I got a 0.727 gpa and I'll have to explain that when I get an interview. I would talk to the dean about maybe taking courses over but it might be too late.

just a heads up, are you prepared to discuss this in an interview? People get sick and things happen. It's how you deal with them that makes you stand out.
