not such good chances???

You don't have a realistic chance at MD right now. I'd put it at less than 5%

If you take one more year with science intensive classes and get straight As you'll have a decent shot. 3.0 sGPA just isn't going to cut it.

I'd agree that your chance at MD schools is poor as you stand. Your chances at DO med schools, however, would be decent if you do not want to wait a year.

so would waiting a year (and bringing my sgpa up to a 3.3) help?? also i plan on retaking the mcat so hopefully that will go up as well.

Why is your gpa so low? You majored in soft subjects, your gpa should be up? You need to get your gpa over 3.5 with your mcat for a realistic shot at MD school.

If you wait a year, get your BCPM GPA up to 3.3, raise the cGPA to say 3.4, get an MCAT of 33 on the retake, then you will be reasonably competitive at MD schools.

thanks for the opinions.
my gpa is low because i took the max number of credits my school would allow each semester and I did a lot of other stuff. Also I was really sick my sophomore year and part of junior year which brought my grades down.
