California resident. Asian
B.S. Bio B.A. Anthro
Without retake sGPA ~3.2 (maybe lower) cGPA 3.2
With retakes at community college sGPA 3.5 cGPA 3.5
- I failed physics three times, had some Cs at university. I've since retaken at community college all for As...
On my MCAT I got 129 on the C/P section. Should I still be worried about this?

ECs Work/Volunteer
- Hospital volunteer ~300 hrs
- Hospital volunteer leadership ~300 hours
-Research 2 years - 1 poster/presentation and 1 abstract
- Worked at doctors office for two years
- ~ 20 hours physician (MD) shadowing so far
- Suicide hotline
- Homeless Shelter medical intern
- Outreach for homeless

School List: DO Schools

I am not sure where to apply. I know that DOs allow retakes, but I am just afraid of all the classes I failed. Will I be a competitive candidate through all of this? Or do I still need to prove that I am capable academically? Thanks for the help!

Your fine for any DO school, start with Western, Touro CA, and AZCOM. Add any others you want to apply to, I would suggest a school list of 12-15.

Just curious, would low tier MDs bite? Like maybe Drexel? (I know the volume thing could be an issue but...) OP does have a strong 512 and his GPA at 3.2 should still be able to make past screen at several places. Watcha think?

Oh and OP, try to set up DO shadowing if you can get around to it. Some places require DO letters.
