From those of you who have been through the process-are November interviews kind of late in the game for someone with not so stellar stats?

No, November is not late at all. Keep in mind most schools are interviewing several hundred students and will probably interview through at least the end of March, if not later. This topic has been discussed before and a sort of general consensus has emerged:
Interview time frame:
Aug-Oct: early
Nov-Jan: middle
Feb-Mar: kinda late
Apr-...: pretty late
Keep in mind these are only general estimates, each school has its own slightly different timetable. Last year some schools were interviewing well into the summer. Good luck.
