After submitting my application to Nova through Pharmcas as well as my supplemental, I received a letter listing the outstanding items they are still waiting for. Two of the items checked were official copies of my AP and CLEP scores. I just wanted to confirm with other current or former applicants that I need to order my official scores to be sent to them even though they are plainly reflected on my official college transcript?

You need to call the college board and tell them that you need your AP scores sent to pharmacy school. They are going to tell you to look up the school code and fill out the form, but Nova COP does not have a "code" per se, like their undergraduate does. Therefore, you need to mail or fax the college board a request form with your signature that releases them to send a copy of your scores to a DIFFERENT address than the ones listed under the simple school codes. This new address is the same PO BOX that Nova uses for their Enrollment Processing Services.. and you just note: Health Professions Division on the envelope. This is how I did it... but obviously I would double check with the AP company and NOVA COP to make sure that is still the right procedure.

Hope that helps.

I received the same letter, and then a week later received an invitation to an interview. I guess I have to call them to see if I still need to send in my AP and CLEP scores.

Yeah you still need to send them even if you have an interview. I got the letter after my interview was already completed. If you are admitted then they need the info for sure... so it's best to send it as soon as you can.

I wonder if you need to send these in again if you're a reapplicant - I applied last year but was not able to make it out when invited for an interview. Does anyone know about Nova's reapplicant process?

Sweets,

I don't know but you should email them. I emailed them about this issue and received an answer the same day. FYI: they said if you submit your scores using Nova's main college code, they'll get them.

Send an email to Tracy Templin. I had a similar situation going on where it said I had missing items, but I emailed her and she told me everything i needed to know.

Thanks for the advice, I went ahead and emailed Tracy Templin. For some reason whenever I call the school no one answers. It could possibly be the time difference (I'm on the west coast).

I'm a P1 at Nova and they do make you send AP scores to Nova. You have to contact the "College Board" (I think you can do it online or just call) and request to have your scores sent to Nova. It seems kinda dumb to have the scores sent, especially if they are really old, but they wouldn't release my financial aid until I sent them. Also with Nova, once you get accepted try and send in all the necessary paperwork as soon as possible --especially the immunization forms, because again they won't release your financial aid until all of that has been processed. Good Luck! (Also request Davie campus...its the best one)😳

I heard that the cost of living there is extreme. Any way to get around that?

haha yes, find some roommates, i live alone right now and pay 900/month for a 1 bedroom which is the cheapest you'll find here, if you have a roommate though you could get away with ~ 600/month for a 2 bedroom which is pretty reasonable i think, some people will also rent houses if you have a group of people you want to live with,
living here can be expensive...but not that extreme...its not like NYC or LA
