Okay, so I was looking through the interview questions on SDN for Nova and found no mention of Health-care related questions. Do you think its safe to go to the interview without being fully armed on this subject? Also, to those that are currently attending Nova, are the interviewers at Nova as detached and cut-throat as they are made out to look?

Take this as purely anecdotal evidence.

I talked to one girl who said she had a health-care/socialized medicine question come up in her interview. She said she didn't know enough about it to comment.

She was accepted.

But you might want to have some idea of issues in health care.

It is probably not safe to go "unarmed" regarding health care issues. As a pre-med, you should already have a small arsenal of health care related information. If you don't, you better start building one, because if not NSU, then some other school is bound to bring up some health care topics during an interview. Also, as a future doctor, you should know a little bit about what you are getting yourself into.

lol...and this is someone that interviewed at Nova?

Hey if you can answer this question you will be good to go:

"Where do you see the future of healthcare heading?"

I was asked this on a phone interview several years ago while applying to the post-bacc program at Drexel University. I stumbled and blabbed my way through it and a few days later got a letter stating that I was not accepted into the program. Though I still could not answer the question for months or maybe a year after that interview, I am pretty sure I can give an intelligible answer now. Maybe I am finally ready for med school?
