Hi everyone,

I was wondering if NOVA has filled up their spots half-way or is it more like close to full??? If my interview goes well .. does it mean that I will most likely get accepted here????

Thanks

When is your interview? because originally i had a Feb 28th interview date, but i talked to Dr. Lippman and he said your chances are slim if you interview in late Feb... So i ended up getting a Dec 19th interview... and was accepted on Jan 10th.... And Dr. Lippman said that getting an interview is the hardest part.... supposedly then only interview about 300 people for the 120 spots.... so I would say if you interview soon you still have a pretty good chance of getting in..... by soon i mean before the end of the month..... but as a disclaimer who knows how many acceptances were given out since i interview???

yeh mine is end of this month ... is there anything I should know thats not mention on this website regarding interview questions etc.. thanks for responding !!

I've just cancelled my interview on this Friday 18th, if anyone needs to reschedule their interviews for this week.....

My interview was really chill....... nothing out of the ordinary.... just normal questions ....... they are friendly so no real need to be nervous

Hey btizzels, I interviewed there on the 20th and did not hear anything back from there yet. Not a good sign, I guess 🙁

STIG,

Who knows..... i really think the admissions committees just throws darts at a wall with our names on it and whoever the dart hits gets in...

seriously .. i know ppl with great scores n gpa but they did not hear anything from NOVA after the interview .. n i also know ppl who got in with low gpa n score .. whats going on ???

Well i would kinda consider myself to have a lower GPA... But when i said that I spoke to Dr. Lippman..... I meant in person when he came and visited my school, and I interviewed with him a few weeks later.... so i am sure talking to him before hand and then the interview didn't hurt.... But to be honest I am glad that they don't simply go with whoever has the highest scores because if they did i wouldn't really stand much of a chance....

And another thought: Does your GPA and DAT scores really show how well you will do in dental school? I still believe in the cliche that whoever works the hardest will do the best... and even if you are brilliant academically and clinically you can be a terrible dentist.....as a dentist you really have to be a people person.... if you can't communicate and just spend all day studying you will never be a good dentist...... I really believe that people would rather go to a dentist that is friendly and does average work.... then a dentist who does excellent work and can't even hold a decent conversation with you.

I've cancelled my interview on Jan 23rd as well. If anyone wants to reschedule their interviews, you can give the office a call!
