NOva interview tone and questions

Hey guys,

Does anyone know the tone of the NOva interview? is it relaxed?how can i prepare?? I have a day...


Freaking out..

Also,

how long does the interview last?? I m schedulre 11.45 but i return at 4.00pm same day by plane... i hope that's ok??

ANd i am only bringing my bag with me. Do i need a folder or anything? Is there ever anythign to write? please let me know. Thanks

I called the Nova's admission office, and the lady told me that the interview might last until 4-4:30pm. I booked a flight at 6:30pm the same day just in case the interviews do last that long. You should give them a call because you might miss your flight.

Yeah, that is cutting it really close. You are supposed to allow quite a lot of time between getting to the airport and your flight as well.

I would have to agree with Maygyver. I have a flight at like 8pm and I am worried about cutting it too close--what with shuttle transport time from the interview to the Hotel, then from the hotel to the Airport.

I may just taxi it if it looks too close the day of the interview.

Hampton Inn (in Plantation) will pick you up from Nova after your interview and shuttle you straight to the airport. You can leave your luggage at the front desk in the morning, and they will pick up the luggage when they come pick you up from Nova.

This is what I did and it worked out well.

Also, the tone of the Nova interview is super relaxed...the true South Florida way. You interview with 2 people (hopefully Dr. Q because he was great). We mostly talked about the weather and golf....

I interviewed at Nova last year. My interview consisted of the two faculty talking about sports with each other for about 10 minutes. (I don't follow sports so I had nothing to contribute. I tried to smile, laugh, and nod my head at appropriate times). Then I think they asked me a couple questions that took about 3 to 5 minutes. Then the interview was over.

Didn't quite know what to make of that, but I got in. 🙂

if you click on interview feedback you can look at questions that people have had in the past. Ive looked at all of those questions on there and have been to several interviews and they never asked a question i wasn't expecting or that wasnt on that list. Im from right around Nova and know people who go there and they agree the interview was pretty relaxed. Just be yourself and you'll do fine. 🙂 The first one is the scariest but after that they get easier and you wont be as nervous.
