Does anyone know if NOVA accepts letters of recommendation written by a research supervisor and if so, would it be considered a "general" professor LOR type?

Call them up. That is the best advice that anyone can give you.

I'm pretty sure this would be ok, but it wouldn't count as your "professor" letter unless they actually taught you and gave you a grade. Then again, I could be wrong. Call admissions and ask for Fran.

Do they require just 1 professor letter? I couldn't find specifications on their website!
