I just got a letter certified mail from Nova. It's an acceptance letter, I am stunned. I thought the letters couldnt be postmarked before dec1.

Do you mind telling me the stats you had applying to nova, like sci, overall, dat, and some extra curric.... thanks.

Hey, no complaints here!

Congrats guys. All of you deserve it and I have a feeling that your help will allow many other folks to get similiar letters.

Regards,

bpenly

Why don't you guys post what the letter was like: thick or thin envelope, what came with the letter?

Congrats to you guys, hope you see you all next august!

Hey, does anyone know how the waitlist at Nova works? How many tiers are there, and how many are waitlisted. Also, how many people were accepted and how many interviews were given?

🙂 I am HIGHLY interested in going to Nova (applying this spring..well June)...any tips on how to woo the interviewers or what they like to see specifically? Better yet, tell me how to get in!!! Congrats to all of you accepted, I only WISH I could be in your shoes...ah maybe next year...

how to get in:
1) apply on the first day the application becomes available (mid May)
2) interview Aug-September
3) GPA > 3.5, decent DAT scores, average extracurriculars & shadowing
4) don't even worry about the interview, as long as you get one early (mine was ~10 min and I felt it was a complete disaster, maybe I was wrong 😀 )

Acceptance letters are usually similar to rejection letters, they are thin and in a small envelope.

Good to see you got in. I knew it wasn't as bad as you thought it was. Congrats!

When did you get your Nova interview? - If the mail got to you in Idaho before 12/1, I am surprised I didn't hear from Nova at Ohio by now... even though I was told by the interviewers that I will hear from them Dec 1st... techinally I should still wait. 🙂

Do you think it's a good idea to find out by phone?

I interviewed on September 30. I was surprised to find that I had a letter in my box the same time that people on the east coast had a letter. I'm not sure why you haven't received the letter. Maybe the mail was delayed because of weather? Anyway, I'd wait until after the 1st before I called to find out.

P.S. I thought your signature idea is great, so I borrowed it.

I am glad you liked it, and be the one who originated the idea. You can save others time from PM'ing you - asking when you applied/what schools/stats/etc.

I was interviewed at Nova on 11/5, maybe they decided on and mailed earlier interviews 1st.

Congratulations for your acceptance(s) again.

It was a standard sized envelope which contained two letters: one from the Vice Chancellor for Student Services and another from the Dean of the College of Dental Medicine. The letters congratulate you on this and that, and then towards the end they cut the fluff and remind you of the many little fees and official transcripts needed by such and such a date.
