I have spent an hour staring at one of these in-text problems and can't seem to figure out how to proceed...

I have no idea how the net force in the horizontal direction is 2900 N. If up the hill is considered positive direction then shouldn't F(net)x = Fk - ( mg * sin (theta) ). 4900 - ( 1000*10*sin(0.2) ) = 4865. HELP!!!
