Nova: Received/Application Denied

So, that's my Nova status on AADSAS. it got changed this morning.
I am sure that means the rejection, but why...
I mean they didn't even update anything on my nova webstar app, which I finished and paid 2 months ago. And they didn't wait for my new DAT score, which I took on Aug 18 and marked the future DAT on my aadsas app. I called most of schools I applied to and asked if they are able to download my new dat score. And no school said that they downloaded it yet. That's why I am sure Nova gave me the rejection without my new score, without updating anything on my Nova webstar app. I called Nova, but couldn't reach anyone, so left them a msg about my situation. Is this how we usually get rejected? or Should I keep calling them?? I feel like my app went straight into their trash can..

Anyone got a rejection from Nova, did you get an actuall snail mail from them??

I didn't get any response from them. I am sure I am not the only one who's trying to call them up yesterday. I left a msg, but I doubt that they are responding it. I will try a couple more calls and if they keep inoring it, I guess we just have to forget about Nova and get used to be rejected for our health...

i don't see any status and i got an invite in the mail dated august 15. I just received the letter a few days ago...

look at the Nova interviews Date, already it is set for December. That means they already have sorted the applicants regarding the first acceptances will be December first.

Unfortunately it's likely your rejection will stand. Last year Univ of Maryland and Temple both rejected me before receiving my LORs. (Got my rejections on the same day, literally a few days before my LORs were sent out by AADSAS.) I realize this is different and probably less important than DATs, but when I contacted both schools and asked them to reconsider my COMPLETE application, they both 'respectfully' told me to basically go eff myself because they have a lot of highly qualified candidates and many different aspects of applications are viewed upon and they do not necessarily need a completed application to make such a decision. (Although Temple did remove the 'rejected' from AADSAS for a few weeks, but then put it back up without saying another word to me.)

This just stresses how one should apply early. Many school's deadline have passed already...

I think it's critical to submit early. At my Creighton interview, they were looking for the people who submitted early...

you guys, the schools can reject at any time for really any reason.

they dont have to wait for your app to be complete. If from the material they already have they dont want you, they can reject you. why should a school sit around and wait for your new DAT when thousands of other applications are flooding them. They can just as easily move on to the next application.

Ok so I talk to Dr. Lippman quite a bit, because he is actually a nice guy even though he rejected some of you. He has told me that it is extremely competitive this year. I know a few of the interview groups (ten people in a group usually) had no one that was below a 3.8 GPA, and 20 DATs. So it sucks but they are going to have to reject some people that are definitely qualified, but don't have the stats to be competitive here. Now that being said those without 3.8s and 20 DATs there is still hope. I got in last year and only had a 3.3 GPA and 20 DATs. But don't be bitter or discouraged, I was rejected by 15 schools last year, and got into 5 so it really isn't the end of the world. Keep up hope and best of luck to you all
