Hey has anyone noticed that the Nova online secondary has no required essay while the paper one they mail you, does? I dont know why this was. Does anyone know?

I noticed that also. I think this is the first year that they use the online application system (that's what they said at their open house yersterday). So, I think it might be a good incentive to get students to use the online form as opposed to the paper form...at least to me it was. I really don't want to have to write ANOTHER essay...or I mean...if you want to explain any special circumstances...then maybe you might want to use the paper form and write an essay for that...

This is the first year that they are doing the online secondary. They are really trying to streamline things and speed up the process so they cut the essay but there was an error made and the paper secondary still has the essay. That is fine; they are aware of the error so dont worry about it. Good luck.

so i just noticed this too...if we filled out the online one should we send a separate essay then?? will they let me if i've already interviewed?? i kinda want to cause i dont know if my interview was all that hot and i feel like i need to tell them why they should let me in some more!!

If it was an error that was made and nobody was supposed to do the essay, i would assume that it would be of no real benefit to your application. If this school was your first choice, you could send a letter of intent...it couldn't hurt but at this point in the game probably wouldn't help. The adcom meets every two weeks--if you are back from an interview i would doubt that anything would make it to your file in time anyhow.

I would sit back, have a beer, trust in yourself, and pray to the ADCOMM higher powers... 😀

i think ill call delia on monday.. i know the committee doesnt meet till next monday (the 22nd) so i could still try to get something in. youre right kaikai...i need to relax, but its hard!!!
