Hi,
I received an interview invitation from Nova. Since people must be waiting , I thought I should share the news.
Nova has started sending the invites !!

Do they send i/v on same day to every person? any idea pls
 
those who have got he inteview calss can they plz tell what are the dates for the interview and bench test.....thanks in advance

the interview and bench test are march 19 8:00 a.m to 6:00 pm and march 20 8:00 a.m to 12:30 p.m ... so good luck to everybody! :luck: :luck: :luck: :luck:

do u all know anybody who is studying there who can guide us through..
 
can anyone please help answer this question...can graduates from this university practice in other states?Are they eligible to do so or do they need any other licensing exam to pass?

Do you know how many seats for IDP program in Nova?
How many students are invited for interview?
 
Someone told me that they might have 25-30 seats.If everybody who got invite posts here we can get an idea...
whoever got inivite did u get info about bench test?
does anybody have idea about clinical case presentation??
 
they have 20-23 seats and they interview 50

I got interview invitation letter from NOVA too.

They send information package about bench test as well as clinical case presentation.so we can prepare for the cases before we go.I did recieve the package today.
 
Hi.. i also got the iv from nova today.. ! The IDP program is 3 years rite??? I got confused coz i got in touch with few international students who were enrolled in a 4 yr DMD program...!
 
Hi.. is there no one else who received IV from nova... it would be great if u guys keep posting.. ! They say they have called 50 people for 20 seats.. I wonder it thats the fact.. so it will be great if people keep posting as and when they get interviews...! All the best !
 
I went to nova last Friday, and I have spoken personally with Marjory Bell, and she told me that they have sent 50 iv letters, and they have 21 seats sure, and until the semester dont finish they dont know how many seats more they are gonna have avaible, but she told me maybe 3 more...
until now just 10 persons have paid the money... so lets wait. we will meet soon 🙂.

Hi. Did they tell you how many applicants for the year 2010??? If there are only 10 people that paid, does that mean the interviews are still in progress???
 
So have they invited all students for i/v? is there any chance now🙁

they invited just 50 (over 200 applications) and there is gonna be 21 seats sure, so we have a big oportunity, but we most prepare well for the bench

how are you preparing for bench?how are you preparing for clinical case??how is the usual sequence of treatment?is it prophylaxis first and then restoration and then comes prosthodontic work??
 
Isn't the program for FTDs 3 years here? Applicants invited for interview pay 2500$ for a skills & bench test. And upon successfully passing the bench test, still attend a full 3 year program while most schools that require bench test only charge a fraction of that amount if any and accept into a 2 year program?

To me it looks like a lose-lose situation.

they r crook, earning money from lot of people, selecting only few, they select mexican mostly, selection criteria is biased.

yes, they wanna earn money with us, but 50 is not a lot a people for 23 seats, and from where do you hear that they select mostly mexicans? my best friend is doing the program and with her isn't even just one mexican... for what I know they have some preferences with florida residents, cuz with my friend there is just 3 persons out of the state.

i too got an invitation from nova. have you guys already practised the gold crown prep and also the case history? I am living in florida close to the school. the tests are on friday and sat. if anybody is interested, we can discus about the cases and maybe even practise. let me know.
i am really scared about the whole bench test stuff.

hey guys. OMG Im so freaking nervous :scared: really, its almost friday! I have this bad feeling that I always have before a test since i was a kid😳... anyone feeling like me???
 
Hey guys.. any idea when nova will start sending the acceptance calls..? How do they notify.. over phone or email..
 
The waiting is killing me 2. So far as I know they already have the accepted list :scared:, but they are waiting for Dr Lippman to return from his vacation. he is gonna come back next week, so until then any info is unofficial. I will try to contact Marjory Bell this friday and see if maybe she can give me some light! Good Luck to everybody, I know after all we have to pass through being an International student, and have the oportunity to being called to the interview and pay the 2500, we all deserve an spot... but unfortunately just 23 are gonna be de lucky ones.

they send regular mail letters, maybe next week.
 
I am still confused, as in how many people overall interviewed.. is it above 40 or below? Anyways.. lets all hope for the best!
 
We were 51 interviewed people (I counted). but that day at the bench were 48,

they are not gonna send the letters until dr. Lippman signed it
 
I called Marjory Bell this morning, and she told me that Dr Lippman has returned from his vacation yesterday. and that we are gonna have news early next week.:xf:

Congratulations Rana ! U did it ! Any update from anyone else if they received the call.. ! I was just curious to know.. if Dr.Lippman called all who got accepted or just few today.. that may give a little hope to those who are waiting !
 
they have called one of the persons i know and two other ppl......lets keep our fingers crossed for monday......i hope they havent call all 23 today......anyone having an update plz reply
