Hi guys!! Has anyone applied/been accepted to NSU's MOT program? I heard we will not hear back until March but wanted to hear about other people's experiences. Very worried about the admissions process!

Hi! If you are talking about NSU MOT in Fort Lauderdale, I have already been accepted! I was told I have until December 15th to pay the $1000 deposit. I will be declining my acceptance though. Best of luck to you!

I video interview was due on October 1st!
Major: B.S. in Movement Science (Kinesiology)
Minor: Psychology
Overall GPA: 3.568
Observation hours: 220 (pediatric clinic and outpatient neurological rehabilitation in a hospital)
LOR: 2 from OTR's and 1 from my academic advisor/research supervisor
GRE: 154V/152Q/4.0AW

I haven't heard anything beyond that email.
I have a 3.7 GPA, GRE scores of 153 V, 155 QR, and a 4.5 writing.
My raw numbers aren't great by any means, but I have almost 400 observation hours, about 100 more OT-related volunteer hours, leadership experience, and employment with special needs populations.

I sent my video in at the beginning of nov, I think the 7th. I'm a career changer with unimpressive stats, so I'm well aware that my chances are lower than a lot of people applying. It is my hope that my years of interesting work and leadership experience, extracurriculars, the acquisition of a Masters degree from a prestigious art school, and what I felt was a very thoughtful personal statement, will boost my case. I know it certainly has not helped with 3 out of the 7 schools I applied to.

Undergrad gpa: 3.1
Graduate gpa: from an art school that doesn't grade, therefore my Master's degree does nothing to boost my low undergrad gpa.
Prereq gpa: 4.0
GRE: V 160, Q 143, AW 4 (It's too late for me with math, I'm not taking retaking that test)

shadowing: 150+ including hand therapy, inpatient acute care at a hospital, in the assistive tech dept of a rehab center, a school, outpatient peds, and a brain injury clubhouse, where I volunteered for awhile and now work.

I am hoping they are looking for well rounded individuals as well. My stats are very similar to yours. I am mostly worried because I feel like they didn't view my video much. I feel like the majority of my views are from me. I am wondering at what time they are sending emails out! My anxiety is killing me!

I haven't gotten an official email, but Keatta replied to my email and I'm in! Honestly a little surprised but excited (first acceptance for me!).

I applied in late October and received a video interview invite less than 2 weeks later. My video was due on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Best of luck to you! When did you submit your video?

LOR's: 3 OTs, 1 PT, 1 school principal who I worked under
Work experience: therapy technician and working with kids
Observation hours: at the time 600-700 hours in 5 different settings.

I sent in my video Nov. 10th and heard back Dec. 1st that I was a high hold candidate. Received an offer Feb. 1st. Let me know if you have any other questions! Good luck!
