Hi! For those who applied to Nova and completed their supplemental application, can you please help?!

In their questions, they said 500 words min and 1500 words max. This is words and not characters right?! I know this sounds silly..as it obviously states "words" in their question, but I usually think schools would want a very short response to their supplemental questions...and 500 words min-1500 words max sounds pretty long.

and Merry Christmas everyone! 🙂

I'm going to fill out their supplemental app soon as well. I believe they want "approx 500 words." So about a one pager. I agree it's a little long. But I think we can aim for 500 (rather than 1000 or more).

I think in July or August it said "500", but at some point changed to "500-1500." I got fed up with how long it was taking to write and just submitted it; I got an interview invite one week later. My word count for the respective questions: 399 and 92.

wow really? good to know..

I applied to NOVA in July. The answers to my questions were less than a full paragraph, and I received an interview invite.

omg guys, just do it. who cares if the essay is long. if you are really serious about becoming an optometrist, a short essay shouldnt deter you from going to a school.

just to follow up...

i ended up not writing a 500 word essay and still got an interview! so yea, totally agree that its quality over quantity! (or at least i hope and can get an acceptance!)
