Make sure you are checking your processed Application at their website:
https://webstar.nova.edu/pls/PROD/bwskalog.P_DispLoginNon

They list all the extra requirements and when they received them. They require you to send in transcripts from your schools directly to NOVA. I am waiting for them to receive mine, it is the only piece left...

Do the transcripts have to be sent along with the supplemental? I have read that some people did not send it directly until they got their acceptance, unless that has changed?

Ughhhh that's so irritating, I just sent one. I thought this is what OptomCAS was for? So we don't have to do all this repeatedly?

I completely agree, but they require it for the application. Look at page 18 of their brochure here: http://www.nova.edu/publications/optometry_brochure/index.html It lists OptomCas application, official transcripts submitted directly by your college or university, OAT scores & LORs.

You can see if they have received them on their online application, see attached pic. Again, I am still waiting for my transcripts to get there.

I went and re-requested a copy...hopefully I'll hear soon!
 
I received an interview invitation from nova and I never sent them any transcripts directly. They sent me an invite 3 days after paying their supplemental fee and of course completing their two additional essays.
 
That is so strange, I wonder why it shows up as an outstanding item on my application...?

When did your secondary application info go through?

My secondary application info went through on August 31 and I got an Interview on September 2. The only thing I did was complete their supplemental questions on their online portal and attach my essays and send them the fee.
 
After finally realizing I had to send my transcript directly there and send that signature form, I got a "documents received" email on monday. Today, I got my interview invite!!

3.1 gpa 340AA 340 TS

Make sure you send in all the pieces of their supp app. It took me 3 weeks ro figure out why I was delayed but once I got it all in I got an invite in 4 days.

So what's the final verdict? do we have to send the transcript directly to NOVA or do they just use our optomCAS transcript verification?

err on the side of caution. send it directly, my app got delayed 3 weeks until i got that in. also, there is a "signature sheet" i had to print and mail in saying that i promise all info on my application was correct. AGAIN I ASK, isn't that why we use digital signatures and online apps? It seems so repetitive and redundant.

Wow, I didn't have to do any of that :S I just had to do the digital signature online, and no apps sent directly to Nova either. It's strange we have had such different experiences with the application.

Yeah just filled it out through the link, copy and pasted my essays, and filled in my payment info and 3 days later received an interview invitation.

yeah thats weird!! oh well i guess they liked you better than me!! i had everything in except those, and my app still was in limbo i guess. oh well now that i have the interview I'm okay with formalities.
 
blondiechick what address are you supposed to send the transcript to? I might as well do it just in case

On optomcas's main page there is a tab on the left that says letters of recommendation, and it has a grid of what all schools accept/require. I don't believe nova is picky about letters as long as on comes from a practicing OD which is pretty standard for all opt schools.
