Hi all,

Did those that got their application mailed out in November or late October get interviews yet? I just received an email from SUNY to schedule my interview date. My application was sent out on 11/8. But still didn't hear from other schools yet. Does it mean you have a good chance of matriculating when they invite you to an interview?

Thanks ahead

I have a scheduled interview with one school, but the rest of the schools I applied to are waiting on my OAT scores before they contact me. My information was mailed out on the 1st of the November.

If you are invited for an interview it just means that they like your application and want to meet you personally to see if you'd be a good fit for their program. There is no guarantee if you get an interview that you will be accepted at that particular school.

Has your entire application been sent in yet...including your OAT scores? I know that some schools wait until they receive your official OAT scores from the ADA before they proceed in reviewing your app. That could be what's holding up your app, or maybe because last week was Thanksgiving and admissions offices were most likely closed for a few days. If you already got an interview from SUNY, don't worry..I'm sure other schools will start sending you their interview invites soon! You can also contact the schools you applied to and follow-up with them in regards to the status of your application. Good luck!

My application was also mailed on the 8th and I've received interviews from NECO, PCO, SUNY and Nova. Like optomgirl said, definitely make sure everything has been submitted already! Supplemental fees and OAT scores (or sometimes a missing LOR depending on the school) could hold up your application, and I'm sure the Thanksgiving break didn't help expedite things, either! This is probably a really busy time for the admissions committees as lots of students are submitting their applications around now. Don't worry too much!

Probably because of my OAT scores, but I faxed it out yesterday to the schools. Also does NECO send a confirmation email that they received your application cause I never got one from them...

Mind me asking what your stats are? 🙂

I got an email from NECO a day after I submitted my supplemental app, and another email after I payed their application fees. If you didn't receive an email you should definitely give them a call!

Sure—well I'll say I have a "below average" GPA haha, and a 350/350 OAT. I'm also a Canadian student and some of the schools had told me this would be to my advantage. NECO did send me a confirmation I think on the Monday after my application was mailed, check your spam mail and if it's not there I'd give them a call!

Since you just sent your scores recently you should be fine, you'll start hearing back soon! I heard from NECO in particular very quickly.
