It turns out that i'm taking the DAT in November and not earlier. What are my chances for acceptance in California? Out of State? for the 2007 cycle. 3.45 science gpa. 3.24 overall

Temple University in Pennsylvania says they Don't make decisions on their applicants until April because there is just too many.

If you are a good candidate, you have a better shot getting into a state school, rather than private.

Good Luck! I take my DAT tomorrow...

Are you saying you are from California and what are your chances at those schools versus out of state, or are you wondering what are your chances of getting into a California school from out of state?

If you are NOT from California, getting into a California school is very tough and your chances are pretty small unless you blow the DAT away, except for maybe at USC which accepts more out of state students than the rest of the california schools. UOP is a private California school so more out of state students get in there too, but they like to fill their spots quickly so having your DAT sent in November might eliminate you from consideration.

If you are a California resident, you have a much better shot, but still, the california schools are all fairly competitive and the later you apply the more you reduce your chance of acceptance. Make sure your application is submitted now if you haven't already done so, so that when you do take the DAT your application will be complete. If you are taking the DAT in november try to take it early in November. Overall though I would say your best shot might be a private school out of state. Good luck.
