November Interviews for EM?

I'm trying to figure out my schedule for the spring and may need to switch some things around. I was wondering if a lot of interviews in EM happen during November and if I should plan on having a light rotation then or if it's okay to schedule something intense like my AI. Any insight would be great!

I don't know the answer to this question, but I'm doing something light in Nov (Radiology). I'd say it's best to play it safe unless you're a killer awesome applicant that won't need to do every interview he/she is offered.

Yeah, November was pretty heavy for interviews last year. Of course, you have some choice about it, but I'd try to keep it open.

The first date that was offered to me last year was the week before Thanksgiving. Another place interviewed on the Monday and Tuesday of Thanksgiving week. I haven't heard of places interviewing in the first half on November, largely because your Dean's Letter doesn't get released until Nov 1 (or at least that's how I remember it last year).

You have some say in this. Yes, places begin interviews in November but I opted to do every interview that I went on except one in December and January.

Last year a lot of my interviews were in november. But thats because thats when I scheduled them. I could have just as easily scheduled it for December or January. Now I wouldn't recommend having something tough in January - you want to keep that open for any later offers.
