Hi! I'm new here and I'd first like to say I'm glad to have found this website. Lots of interesting information to be found here, thanks to all your contributions. 🙂
I am currently studying health science in CEGEP (in Quebec, of course) and I'm wondering whether I should go into medicine or go straight to pure research, which I tend to find more interesting. However I'd like to have a feel of what research is really about.
I came across this page on the National Research Council of Canada website providing summer jobs in various research institutes across the country. I would like to know if anyone here has tried this, or know someone who has had the occasion to take part in this program so that I might get some feedback.
I'd be interested to apply next year but I want to make sure it's worth it since I might agree for a job in another city and move out for the summer (which can be a load of trouble).
