Hey guys,

There is a AAMC Questionaire thing on top of your NRMP rank order list page.
I just recently saw it. It requires a token number.

Did you guys fill it out yet?

It said that the NRMP Data collection is unrelated to the AAMC Questionaire. My question is: will not doing the questionaire in any way impact how the NRMP algorithm is done on your rank list?

maybe I am just being paranoid........

thanks

My dean is offering us cash to fill it out, so he sends out the token every week. Check with your student affairs people, they can probably send it to you. Forewarning, most of it is questions about complementary and alternative medicine, so I'm not totally sure what they are trying to assess.

PS - it won't affect your NRMP if you don't do it.

Hmmm. Makes me wonder how much cash he's getting for the level of student participation. 🙂

Thanks! A friend actually called and asked the NRMP people and you are right, it won't affect anything if you don't do it.

Imagine if it does though and someone finds out about it and have proof. That person can just retire with some serious lawsuite settlement!

Sorry, but the NRMP is apparently untouchable legally.

OK - I don't know about the NRMP part...

But PLEASE fill out the graduation questionnaire (both parts - I forget the exact term but the second part is "supplemental" or "optional").

The GK is one of the only "scientific" ways that we can collect data about the impact that med school has on us in preparing for our profession. They need this data (especially things like your total debt, experiences with student mistreatment, etc) to ever have an impact on policies related to medical education. The data on debt has been especially important in recent years, and the AAMC has little leverage with the data if the response rate is too low.

I realize M4's check out a little after the match and their requirements wrap up, but PLEASE PLEASE remember to fill this out 🙂
