Hi all, I'm getting a bit worried because I haven't heard anything from Nova. I was complete back in September. My stats are well above their averages and I think my life experience is interesting. They are one of my top choices and I was hoping they would find my application worth a second look, too. Obviously, no one can tell me why I haven't heard anything or whether my feeling of being a competitive and strong applicant is more than unilateral. I just haven't heard anything from them and I see many other people have interviewed and been accepted. Do you think I should call them and find out what's going on? Send a letter conveying my interest in the program and hoping for an interview? I know this whole process is a crapshoot but I thought I had a decent chance at Nova. Thanks!

i'm in the same boat as you...filled everything out and was complete with letters in sept....zip zilch zero...earlier in the summer they were good about returning my calls, but i haven't heard anything in a long long time...don't even know if my letters arrived...the online status check doesn't seem too up-to-date.

Well, the weird thing with me is that they told me I was complete in September, then I came to find out with my ugrad that they hadn't sent out my LORs.

My fear is that I didn't apply to a sleuth of DO schools. I'm rather limited in terms of geographics, so I applied to only Florida schools but Nova was the only DO. I'm worried they think that it is just a back-up for me, which it is not. I would rather go to Nova than some other MD schools in the state.

It could be a perfect case of how much a crapshoot the admissions process is. I was complete with all my schools at the end of August/beginning of Sept and for sure i thought i'd hear back from at least LECOM and NOVA (i'm from the tampa area). Still nada. i am, however, a borderline statistics applicant, but i guess it goes to show that they looked at more than stats of you guys are above their average.

I guess schools look at geographic diversity as well, because i've gotten interviews this early in the game from VCOM and TUCOM-CA (both great schools, but who would've guessed this early?!?). Lucky for me, i'm 25 and single and can live anywhere.

Yeah, you can call them up. It may be hard to get a hold of them though. They do not seem to be good with answering phone calls. I was complete from NOVA early August, so I suppose that you have some time to wait. You can always send an email which may be answered quicker. Best of luck.

Hi, I just wanted to update my situation and provide info to other posters who were in the same position as me. I decided to send NSU a letter basically saying I like you and I hope you interview me and within a week, I received an interview invite. It may be coincidence, but sometimes I think if you show them love, they respond. Personally, my concern was that they were my only DO school and I was concerned they thought they were my safety, but truthfully I would attend Nova over other MD schools due primarily to location.
