I went to the NSU open house yesterday with NOVA being my #1 choice and left not wanting to go anywhere else!😍

1. The faculty were all very enthusiastic about osteopathic medicine
2. Really clean, new, modern facilites
3. Labs were impecable
4. Diverse student body
5. M1's I met were super friendly and wore flip flops
6. Professors seemed very approachable
7. Great international missions
8. Students do more than study togheter- like a family

Just wanted to share my thoughts after the open house. This school was amazing and I would love to attend. If you haven't allready looked into NSU..give it a chance.

One more thing, they WILL accept the Jan MCAT and I was told that everyone that submits a primary will automatically get a secondary and then your file is reviewed and determined whether or not you will get and interview.

I interviewed there, and yes, it's a great school, and would probably be my top choice, but my only issue with it is that it's in Florida. I'm not much for hot weather. Although if it were transplanted somewhere up North, I wouldn't mind at all. I actually was really interested in that correctional facility rotation they have. I think it counts as one month of your rural rotation if you decide to do it, and you see a lot of stuff in prison that you normally wouldn't see anywhere else.

Although I missed my tour because they didn't call my name for the first group to go on the tour, but I was supposed to be. Actually, same thing happened to another kid too. We were both scheduled for the second half of interviews, but were never called to go on the tour first, so I didn't actually get to see anything. But I figure a school is a school, they seem like they have their act together so I would assume their labs would be nice too. I was actually also late for lunch now that I think about it because I was the last one being interviewed and one of my interviewers likes to talk and talk and talk.

The other thing I liked about it was that they say they have a professional dress code, but you can just wear scrubs instead and not have to worry about dressing nice.

The whole wearing scrubs thing is a plus for me..takes less time to get dressed in the morning..yeah!!
