Hi everybody. I was just reading through some pharmacy outlook materials. I came upon nuclear pharmacy , and pharmocoeconomics. What exactly are they? I dont know anything about nuclear pharmacy. Could someone please explain it to me.

You'll find that it is different, very different, from any other setting. Essentially, a majority of your shift is spent compounding kits and drawing doses. There is also quite a bit more paperwork to do than most other settings. Here are some of the pros and cons:

Pros:
Laid back environment, casual dress
Professional communication with nuc med techs and MD's
No narcotics or public to deal with
Many breaks throughout the day

Cons:
Odd hours and rotating weekends
Must take call
Pay is approx. 7-10% less than retail
May be difficult to get hired without authorized user certification
