Hello, A little background.

Summer programs: at 2 medical schools
LOR: from great professors who interviewed me in detail to write the best letter possible
Personal Statement feedback: very moving and coherent story
Activities: very involved and excellent
Now, I know the weak part of my APP is MCAT and there are things I can add on to further strengthen my chances. However, Does a 508 really make my chances go to 0? I mean, they always say "MCAT is just one part blah blah" but from the advice they are giving now, it seems like its the only thing they look at. What mid tier schools in the south (Florida, Texas.. etc) should I apply to? or should I just take the year off to study and take the MCAT for the third time? I am honestly very disappointed in my self. I know that I am capable of being a great medical student and CARS is just holding me back from getting that score. English is the 4th language that I spoke... and I wish they can just look at me holistically more than a number on paper at good schools. Any advice would be appreciated.
