hi all,

just wondering if anyone is able to surmise the number of questions right per block of 50 on the real deal that one needs to get right to get a score of 220, 230, 240, 250 etc? obviously nobody knows for sure, but for those of you who have kept track of the number of questions you think you got wrong on each block (and have gotten your score back) could you shed some light. i felt like i had a really tough test (much harder than any of the nbmes) and i would be lucky to get 40 questions right on each block. i wish i had a different version - literally 20% of my test was neuroanatomy/neuropath and another 15-20% was pure anatomy.

You and me both. I felt the NBME's were easy compared to the real thing and my test was EXTREMELY neuro heavy.

man, i had a neuroanat/neuropath heavy exam the 1st time i took step1. that should say enough! at least you're confident to start to surmise at 220. if it's any consolation, my 2nd try was much better. easier. 35-39 correct on NBME form 1 equaled 221 for me.
