What do you guys think about how many schools to send applications? Does it look bad if you send them to too many or not enough?

With your stats, you can be selective and save your money. No, it doesn't look bad either way, but I say it never hurts to spread yourself out. If I had your stats I'd apply to 4-7 schools.

Of course, that's assuming you have adequete shadowing and extracurriculars, a decent personal statement and letters of recommendation. Also that you're not a complete gomer and can manage yourself in an interview.

If you're deficient in any of those areas you might want to bump the number a bit.

I have already applied to five schools but I was just going to see what everybody else thought before I applied to any more. I have a lot of volunteer/research/work experience and I'd like to think of myself as being socially capable of handing an interview. Thanks guys!

With only a 22 and a 3.87 GPA I would apply to at least 25 schools. I've seen plenty of posters on this site alone with 23+ AA scores on the DAT.
