numbers needed for EM res

Does anyone know what the range of numbers are (step 1 score, basic science grades, clerkship grades outside of EM rotation) that are needed for placement in an EM residency? I'm talking about the average program in terms of competitiveness, but anyone who wanted to throw out numbers for the most and least competitive programs as well would be most welcome.

This topic has been discussed ad nauseum. Unfortunately, there is no real answer to your question. I wish we could tell you what numbers would make you competitive or what numbers you should possess as a minimum to get a residency spot, but there is so much variance that it's impossible to tell you.

I've heard of people getting spots with minimum passing scores and average clinical grades.
