i guess crna's found the right path

what makes me angry/disappointed is why the hell am I going through all this schooling only to be undercut by someone else in the end who is allowed to do the same thing as me but with less training/time/cost?

with regards to primary care, the government needs to decide either:

1) primary care is easy enough for a midlevel provider's level of education/experience to suffice, and slowly it will no longer be practiced by physicians

2) primary care is complex and requires the education/experience of a physician and no one else

don't give us this half/half system where midlevel providers are allowed to practice primary care with significantly less training under pseudo-supervision

the government needs to take a stand. either you need the education or you don't. or make supervision standards more strict if you agree that the education is necessary, but a midlevel provider can play a role too

Apples and oranges

Compared to GAS, CRNA's make about half as much.

the funny thing is when a CRNA states in the report: we have the same amount of training and then the story states MD's go through 4-5 more years of training!!!

I dont know how they really think they have the same amount of training!!
