Nutrition as Science Course?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
But srsly, is it truly a science course? Boggles my mind man.

And neuroscience isn't even listed! It's definitely science. jeeze louis.

Wait...I'm a neuroscience major. Does this mean none of my classes count for science?

Your classes do count.

👍 Neuroscience is awesome!

Yea I guess I equate the word neuroscience with undergrad and neurology with actual medical neuro studies. I checked my AACOMAS and I did list my neuro courses under BIO/ZOO.

Neuroscience is science. Neurology is listed under what AACOM considers biology, they are different words meaning the same thing, I'm pretty sure.

GUYS. The list on AACOMAS is a guideline for common course listings. if you have a course that doesn't fall under their list at all, just use your best judgement. if AACOMAS disagrees, all they will do is make the changes they deem appropriate.

it's no big deal.

I usually don't post in the forums anymore... but of course nutrition is a science course. It has so much to do with molecular biology. There's also cell-nutrient-drug interactions and pathologies all related to nutrition. It boggles my mind when people are so ignorant when it comes to how important nutrition is in the field of medicine.

When I think of nutrition courses I don't think of molecular biology. I think of learning how to eat, not how the food works in your body. And I understand nutrition is important but there are nutrition courses that should not be considered science.
