I got the compounding test next week and getting freaked out a bit, I couldn't sign up for the review class and I'm a bit lost as what to expect... I have a few questions that come to mind, if someone don't mind me helping..

Part 1 of 2 written exam..
calculations..
What should I expect here? is it simple ratios and conversions or are we talking milliequivalents, molarity vs. molality, milliosmoles??

Prescriptions...
What should I look out for? some common things that usually appears..

Part 2 wet lab..
I know how to make stuff but labeling, I forgot that part.. Do I just list the ingredients and name with date or is there more to it?

If anyone has review materials within NY tri state let me know, Ill be willing to buy any materials

thxs

hey, don't panic!
you can get review materials from dr cutie at http://www.pharmacyboardreview.com -i'm not sure how long it'll take to get mailed but it's really all that you need to study from..

the calculations are reallly easy- proportions, conversions, i didnt get any osmolarity or milliosmolar eqns.

review your top 200 drugs for part 1. errors and omissions can include anything from incorrect drug, strength dispensed, or directions.. incorrect generic substitution.. for the most part, it's obvious.

label has patient's name, address, date, name and address of pharmacy, drug name, strength, dosage form, directions, doctor's name. auxilary label goes in the booklet

good luck!
