I'm from queens.. where is everyone else from?
if you get into a NYC school, do you plan on moving?
Im considering moving closer to Columbia if i got in; somewhere between Washington heights and the UWS

I'm UES, also thanks to the parentals. There's no way i would commute to Columbia from Queens, even NYU would be a stretch for me, i guess it depends how far out in queens you are.

I live just by Columbia main campus. 15 mins walk from here.
It takes 10 mins by train to go to dental school.
Just in case you are thinking of moving, actually the rent isn't that bad.
If you don't mind share with somebody else, your rent should be
around 800-1000.

Mmm, from Westchester/Putnam.
Went to NYC school undergrad, and lived in dorms. 😛
If I get Columbia or NYU (my top choices), may dorm (if possible) or commute/carpool with dad (1 hour plus daily...not bad- I do it now anyways for work). Plus, I prefer homemade cooked meals by my mother, and I prefer to sleep in my own bed, and bathe in a clean tub. 😛
I'm crossing fingers now...NYC, please!!!! 😎

hey amsie,

I totally understand where you are coming from, as i'm sure most of the people applying do too. However, waiting on them like this is only going to make the wait all the more intolerable. If you've done all you can - called, everything is complete, etc, then the best thing to do is just find something productive to throw yourself into. Put it to the back of your mind. You enjoying your time or ripping your hair out doesn't make mail go any faster. 🙂 Just trust that they will come.
