Hi,

I'm currently an undergrad majoring in psychology and am looking to gain some clinical experiences in NYC. I am thinking of looking at NYU Child Study Center and Lenox Hill Hospital before applying to grad school. Any thoughts about these places in regards to training and reputation? I'm still fairly new to this. Thanks.

my sister completed her psychiatry fellowship with nyu child study center. She liked the program very much.
It is quite difficult to find much clinical work with BA especially within a top facility. It might be helpful to hear about what kind of experience you are looking to gain?

I worked at the NYU Child Study Center's Summer Program for Kids last summer, and it was a really great experience. You get great training and it opens up a lot of opportunities for during the year, but generally more with families than working at the CSC itself. I'd definitely say look into it! 👍
