Hey, anyone in the NYC area know of any good free clinics/ERs/research labs where a post-bacc could volunteer (preferably 1-2 days a week - I have a lot on my plate!)

Hey, I volunteer at the Lenox Hill ER on 77th and Lex, you only have to put in a min. of 3 hrs a week, but you can do more if you like (I do 1 day/week 9-5) and they have volunteers in all wings from ER to open heart, its good exposure and usualy a good time, their Volunteer Office # is (212) 434-2600, feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

I volunteer 3 days/week at Jamaica Hospital, Queens. Go to any hospital that fits your neighborhood location and see the volunteer coordinator...they love cheap labor. Check the website, and if they try to give you clerical then ask for the ER/clinic or find another hospital; there is no need to do their clerical work and it won't look as good later on when asked about your experiences.
