NYCOM only for minorities??

I've looked at NYCOM's website along with other allopathic universities such as Howard University, do they pretty much only take minorities (IE: 95%) or is it the same chance of getting in as a state school say.

I will be starting NYCOM this fall. Of the total student body, minorities make up approximately 13%. I don't know where you received the information regarding NYCOM being 95% minority, but I don't believe that this is correct.

I just read a report on amcos.org and they had all of the numbers, I wasn't sure what they meant by the comments on there website. It seemed to me like it was saying primarily minority students attended NYCOM. I believe they said it was 13% URM, and 41.2% total minority. Thanks for your reply.
