Hey guys, need some advice. NYCOM in one of my top choices and I have already interviewed with them last week. I was wondering how it would look if I went to the open house even after interviewing there? I live fairly close by, so getting there is not a problem. I just don't want to look like I am stalking them or desperate or anything? I was thinking about also bringing my parents to show them the school as well. Any advice?

First, congrats on getting interviewed, wish you luck with the process.

Bringing your parents is a good idea, especially if they care where you are going to medical school. I dont think the administration people will see this as an act of desperation on your part. If nothing else, your using the open house as an oppurtunity to give your parents a tour of the school.

Just don't spend much time when you will meet the office of admission's staff, since you already interviewed.

Good Luck with NYCOM, I sincerley hope you get in, even though it means 1 less seat available for me to get into the school.

you want your parents to learn more about the school where you had an interview. Seems like a very legit reason to go to the open house. also the Open house usually features an OMM presentation which you do not get during interviews.

If you go to the interview say hi to Ms Croot and Ms Zaika. Let them know why you are there and express interest. There is a guy in our class right now that showed A LOT of interest in NYCOM by staying in touch with admissions. good luck!
